Health Insurance Marketplace Certified Application Counselors

Marketplace open enrollment ended March 31.

You may still be able to enroll:

  • If you had PCIP (Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan) coverage purchased on, your coverage ended April 30, 2014.  If you do not have other coverage as of May 1, 2014, you are eligible for a 60-day special enrollment period on the Marketplace.  No matter when during the special enrollment period you enroll in new Marketplace coverage, it will be effective as of May 1.  This means you will avoid a break in coverage.  Speak to our Counselors for details and assistance.
  • After Open Enrollment, you can enroll in private coverage through the Marketplace only if you have a qualifying life event or a complex situation related to applying in the Marketplace. If you do, you get a special enrollment period allowing you to buy a health insurance plan through the Marketplace.

Our Counselors are still here to help you:

  • Select and enroll in a plan (if you are eligible; see above)
  • Learn to use your new health coverage
  • Get or change Marketplace coverage if you have a qualifying life event
  • Enroll in Medicaid or Florida KidCare (if you are eligible)

The next open enrollment period is scheduled for November 15, 2014 to February 15, 2015.
